About Us

Emirates NBD entered the Egyptian market in June 2013 and is now in a high-growth phase. It is a fully owned subsidiary of the Emirates NBD Group; one of the region’s biggest banks.

Emirates NBD acquired the operations of BNP Paribas in Egypt in June 2013. This acquisition combines local expertise, knowledge of the Egyptian market, a large customer base and a wide branch network along with Emirates NBD’s regional power and knowledge, and vision of investment.

Emirates NBD Egypt currently has more than 2,000 employees and 69 branches located strategically across the country. It also offers a wide range of advanced products and services across its retail banking, corporate banking and investment banking businesses.

The Emirates NBD Group is the leading banking group in the region. It was formed on 16 October 2007 when the shares of Emirates NBD were officially listed on the Dubai Financial Market. The Emirates NBD merger between Emirates Bank International and the National Bank of Dubai became a regional consolidation blueprint for the banking and finance sector. It combined the second and fourth largest banks in the UAE to form a banking champion with the largest asset base in the GCC.

Today, Emirates NBD is a market leader across core business lines. With a total balance sheet in excess of USD 100 billion, it is one of the world’s 100 largest banks. It is the leading retail banking franchise in the UAE, with over 100 branches and over 575 ATMs / Cash Deposit Machines. The Group is also a major player in the corporate banking arena, has fast growing Islamic banking affiliated entities, strong investment and private banking services, and leadership in the field of asset management products and brokerage services.

The Group has operations in the UAE, Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Austria, Germany, Russia, Bahrain and representative offices in China, Indonesia. On 8th of November 2017, it opened operations in Mumbai, India. The Mumbai branch marks Emirates NBD's fifth international branch outside of its UAE network, totaling 967 branches and 4,323 ATMs.

Currently, more than 25,000 employees from over 70 nationalities are employed by Emirates NBD, making it one of the largest and most culturally diverse employers in the UAE.
