Starting from now and for your safety, all customers are requested to wear medical face masks before entering any of the bank's branches.
Cairo – May 15th 2020 – In line with the Federation of the Egyptian Banks, new precautionary measures are being taken to reduce viral infections of the Corona virus among customers and employees in the banking sector. The Federation urges all bank customers to wear medical face masks before entering any bank branches. This decision will be instated starting from Sunday, 17th May 2020, while continuing all responsible banking measures and precautions within branches to avoid viral transmission and infection.
Mr. Mohamed Berro, CEO of Emirates NBD - Egypt, said, "in light of the global health crisis and the spread of the Corona virus, we urge to our customers to follow all precautions so that all banking operations are regularly and safely executed.".
The new medical face mask regulation falls in line with the measures adopted by the Egyptian government, the Central Bank, Ministry of Health and several judicial entities.
