Finalist at Emirates NBD Million Dirham Putt wins trip to Thailand

It was a bittersweet moment for Jon Jin Park, the last man standing finalist of the widely popular Emirates NBD Million Dirham Putt, that concluded its final round this week at the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic.

Dubai, 14 February 2017: It was a bittersweet moment for Jon Jin Park, the last man standing finalist of the widely popular Emirates NBD Million Dirham Putt, that concluded its final round this week at the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic. Although he missed the tricky 60ft putt on the Majlis Course that would have earned him the AED Million Dirhams, he was rewarded with a six-day all expenses paid golfing experience for two to Thailand.

After a three month tournament that witnessed 3000 participants attempting to make the million dirham putt at JBR, The Beach, and City Walk, as well as at one of Dubai’s longest standing golf tournaments: the OMEGA Dubai Ladies Masters, ten contestants made it to the nail biting final. In addition to Mr. Park, the remaining nine were: Imad Alfadel, Stephen Godsmary, Farris Hassan, Cian Hurley, Jonathan Lane, Andrew Robinson, Mohammed Shaikley, Michele Tighe, and Philip Wooler.

The bank also reinforced its commitment to promote the game of golf in the UAE by participating as the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic’s official banking partner for the 27th successive year.
