Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, is offering its customers a unique opportunity to travel back in time and experience life in the UAE as it was 50 years ago.

Dubai, November 27, 2013: Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, is offering its customers a unique opportunity to travel back in time and experience life in the UAE as it was 50 years ago. In celebration of the 42nd UAE National Day and commemorating the 50th anniversary of the bank’s operations, Emirates NBD has set up a traditional Emirati Village at the bank’s headquarters in Deira, Dubai. Complete with wind towers, and a bridal room, the replica of the Emirati village allows visitors tothe bank’s head office to get a glimpse of life in the 1960s amid the stark desert sands.

The village, which was inaugurated by Emirates NBD’sVice Chairman, members of the Board of Directors, Group CEO and members of Emirates NBD senior management, will be on display till December 12, 2013.

Established under the theme “Dubai 50 years ago”, the Emirates NBD National DayVillage featurestraditional Emirati experiences, including an Arabic Majlisproviding local coffee,henna painting and traditional Emirati dishes for walk-in guests. Guests arealso greeted by the Harbiya band, which performsUAE National dances and traditional songs.It also features a photo gallery depicting life across the Emirates over the past 50 years.
